What is family pay in Brazil?
The INSS says family pay is due to an employee, including a domestic employee, and to a casual worker, paid monthly for each child, stepchild, or ward up to the age of 14, or of any age if invalid, and it does not depend on a waiting period. The person must be inside the monthly earnings limit on that page. An employee asks the employer, a casual worker asks the union or the labour body they belong to, and a person already on temporary incapacity pay, a permanent incapacity pension, or a rural old-age pension asks the INSS.
