How do I apply for a passport in Belgium?
The Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs says a Belgian passport request needs Belgian nationality and registration in a commune, an embassy, or a consulate. A person registered in a Belgian commune makes the request at that commune. A minor's passport is valid for five years and an adult's for seven years, and it can be replaced earlier when the photo no longer matches, or when it is damaged, reported lost or stolen, or full.
