What sick leave does a private-sector worker get in the United Arab Emirates?
Federal Decree-Law 33 of 2021 says that after probation a worker may have sick leave of not more than 90 days in a year, continuous or split: the first 15 days with full pay, the next 30 days with half pay, and the rest unpaid. The worker tells the employer within three working days and gives a medical report. There is no paid sick leave during probation, though the employer may grant unpaid leave on a medical report.
