What bereavement leave does a private-sector worker get in the United Arab Emirates?
Federal Decree-Law 33 of 2021 says a worker gets five days of paid bereavement leave if a husband or wife dies, and three days if a mother, father, son, brother, sister, grandson, grandfather, or grandmother dies. The leave starts on the date of death. Proof from the concerned authority is required.
